A plant comprising: - a dryer (710) configured to receive a displaced synthesis gas (702) and comprising a suitable separator for the conversion of hydrogen sulfide from the displaced synthesis gas to carbonyl sulfide; - a heat exchanger (720) coupled to the dryer (710) to allow cooling of a dried and displaced synthesis gas from the dryer (710), in which the heat exchanger (720) is configured to use: - a content for cooling a lower stream (734) of an absorption column (730), wherein the lower stream (734) comprises a mixture of carbon dioxide and carbonyl sulfide; and - a cooling content of a gas discharge (742) of a first self-cooling unit (740); - the first self-cooling unit (740) that is fluidly coupled to the absorption column (730) and is configured to receive an absorber head product (732) from the absorption column (730) and to form a liquid stream of carbon dioxide (736); and - the absorption column (730), which is configured to receive the dried, displaced and cooled synthesis gas of the heat exchanger (720) and which is additionally configured to allow the use of the liquid carbon dioxide stream (736) for wash the cooled displaced synthesis gas, thus absorbing the carbonyl sulfide from the dried, displaced and cooled synthesis gas; characterized in that the plant additionally comprises: - a separator (770) which is configured to receive the lower current (734) and which is additionally configured to allow the separation of a lower carbonyl sulfide current (774) from a dioxide head current carbon (772). |
