abstract A process for the manufacture of a medicament containing a polypeptide, comprising, at least, a recombinant B-chain carbohydrate-binding polypeptide of a ribosome-inactivating protein or a functional fragment thereof, in which a) the polypeptide or a functional fragment of this polypeptide is fused with a peptide that acts as a cytotoxic, forming a fusion protein; b) the polypeptide or a functional fragment of this polypeptide is linked to another polypeptide that has a rRNA-N-glycosidase enzyme activity; c) the polypeptide or a functional fragment of this polypeptide is linked to another polypeptide, in which a rRNA-N-glycosidase enzyme activity has been replaced by another cytotoxic activity; or d) the polypeptide or a functional fragment of this polypeptide is linked to a fusion protein, comprising a polypeptide with rRNA-N-glycosidase enzymatic activity and / or other cytotoxic activity, in a stable form in long-term storage and further comprising a carrier pharmaceutically acceptable; comprising a cooling, freezing, spray drying or lyophilization drying step, maintaining the pharmacological characteristics of the polypeptide in the solution, in which the solution is characterized in that the pH value of the solution is higher than pH 6.0 and a buffer system containing a solvent that guarantees the maintenance of this pH value, in which, by lyophilization drying, a lyoprotectant is added, at least, to the solution, in a final concentration range of 4% to 10%, wherein the lioproptector consists of dextran / dextrans.
