A method of filling a flexible container (110) for the combined storage and administration of a liquid medicament that is particularly sensitive to turbulence, the method comprising the steps of: providing a flexible front sheet (12); provide a flexible backsheet (14), the front and rear sheets (12, 14) sealed together along a common peripheral edge (16); heating the front and rear sheets (12, 14) in a first localized area to melt the heated portions of the adjacent surfaces together, thereby forming a removable seal (116) extending between sides of the common peripheral edge (16), joining the removable seal (116) detachably the front and rear sheets (12, 14) to thereby form a liquid container compartment (112) and an outlet compartment (114); fill the liquid container compartment (112) with a liquid medicine; after the filling stage, introduce a first gas into the liquid container compartment (112) to thereby adjust the head space of the compartment; complete the seal along the common peripheral edge of the container (16) to thereby enclose the liquid medication (112) and the first gas; and wherein said first gas is permeable through the front and rear sheets of the container (12, 14) in a ratio of at least four times that of the air. |
