abstract | An aqueous composition comprising a color developer of the general formula I ** Formula ** wherein R1 is phenyl, which is substituted with C1-C4 alkyl, X is a group of the formula -C (> = O) - , A is unsubstituted phenylene, or phenylene that is substituted with C1-C4 alkyl or halogen, B is a connecting group of formula -O-SO2- or -O-, and R2 is phenyl, naphthyl, or benzyl, which is not substituted or substituted with C1-C4 alkyl or halogen, a) 0.1 to 5 parts dry per 100 parts dry of color developer I by weight of an anionic dispersant and b) 0.01 to 2.0 parts dry per 100 parts of color developer I by weight of a thickening agent, wherein the thickening agent is selected from the group consisting of xanthan gum, sodium alginate, water-soluble carboxylates, polymers or copolymers based on acrylamide, acrylic acid, acrylate ethyl or methacrylic acid. |
