titleOfInvention | Scattering with nanoureas |
abstract | Nanourea dispersions containing nanourea particles with a particle size of 10 to 300 nm and a zeta potential (at pH (23 ° C)> = 8.0) of 0 to 40 mV, which can be obtained by mixing, in a first stage, polyisocyanates that are products of modification of hexamethylene diisocyanate or isophorondiisocyanate, which have biuret, isocyanurate or uretdione groups and that have non-ionic groups such as hydrophilization, with water and, later, decompose giving urea groups, choosing the ratio of hydrophilized polyisocyanate to water so that the total weight ratio results between 1 to 20 and 1 to 0.75, the hydrophilized polyisocyanate is added in portions to the water and the total amount of the hydrophilized polyisocyanate is divided into 2 to 50 portions of equal size or different and after the addition of each portion of polyisocyanate is expected between 5 minutes and 12 hours until the next portion is added, one or more catalysts are added, while of the same tertiary amines, in amounts of 0.01 to 8% by weight, with respect to the total solids content, and the hydrophilization of the polyisocyanates is carried out by non-ionic hydrophilizing action compounds, which are poly (alkylene oxide) monohydric polyether alcohols having a statistical average of 5 to 70 units of ethylene oxide per molecule. |
