Procedure for electrochemical detection of binding reactions |
abstract |
Procedure for the realization of homogeneous competitive immunoassay formats with electrochemical detection in solution, characterized in that two different conjugates are combined as reagents with the sample or a mixture of sample buffer, a conjugate comprising a redox marker and an analyte molecule and comprising the second conjugate a redox anti-marker antibody or a fragment thereof that specifically binds and a molecule that specifically binds to the analyte, and because the presence of free analyte in the sample allows or promotes the binding of the redox marker to the anti-marker antibody redox, inhibiting ("extinguishing") through this union the redox activity of the attached redox marker, so that a detectable signal is generated or modified. |
