A foam generating device for generating therapeutic foam comprising: a) a sealed chamber (6, 106, 206) formed as an endless loop that defines a continuous path containing liquid or foamable gas; b) a sealed container (120, 246) containing gas or foamable liquid, respectively; said container being disposed for the selective introduction of its contents into said chamber (6,106, 206) such that the chamber then contains both the gas and the foamable liquid and has a predetermined initial volume; c) a foam-generating structure (8, 108, 208) located inside the chamber in the continuous path; whereby the therapeutic foam can be generated by circulating the gas and liquid around the continuous path through the structure (8, 108, 208) foam generator inside the chamber (6, 106, 206). |
