Process for the production of carotenoid solutions in an oil suitable for food, comprising: i. provide a suspension of the carotenoid in an oil suitable for food, ii. continuously heat a stream of the carotenoid suspension, obtaining a hot carotenoid solution, and iii. cooling the hot carotenoid solution continuously, in which, for continuous heating, the carotenoid suspension as a thin liquid film is passed over a heated heat exchange surface. |
