A method of preparing a pharmaceutical composition containing valsartan, which comprises the following steps: providing valsartan particles having a maximum diameter of 1,100 μm granulate a mixture of valsartan and excipients using water or an aqueous dispersion as a granulation liquid to obtain a granulate, add additional excipients to said granulate to provide a compression mixture, compress the compression mixture to the desired form, and optionally, apply a coating, and in which the composition comprises cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose as an excipient. |
