abstract | A method for producing optically active 3-methylcyclopentadecanone, the method comprising reacting 2-cyclopentadecen-1-one with a methylated organometallic compound in the presence of a decorating catalyst, an acid anhydride and an optically active phosphoramidite represented by the general formula (1) : wherein R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R3 represents a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, which may be substituted, or an aryl group that may be substituted; R4 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms that may be substituted, an aryl group that may be substituted, or an aralkyl group that may be substituted; and A represents an optically active 1,1'-binaphthalene-2,2'-diyl group, with the proviso that the following phosphoramidites and their enantiomers are excluded: to perform a conjugate addition reaction 1.4 of a methyl group , so as to produce an optically active 3-methyl-1-cyclopentadecene derivative represented by the general formula (2): wherein R represents an acyl moiety; * represents an asymmetric carbon atom; and the broken line in the formula represents that the compound is a cis isomer, a trans isomer, or a mixture thereof, and subsequently subjecting the derivative to solvolysis. |
