titleOfInvention Systems to monitor and control the internal pressure of an eye or a body part
abstract A system (118) for controlling the pressure in a part of the body, comprising: an implantable tube (116), having a first open end and a second open end, the first open end being arranged in a part of the body, a valve implantable (202) coupled with the tube (116) and having at least one open state and one closed state, a first implantable sensor (206) configured to obtain at least one measurement of the pressure within the body part, and an implantable device (208) control coupled with the valve (202) and the sensor (206), and configured to receive it at least one measurement and to switch the valve (202) between the at least one open state and the closed state based on the minus one measurement; in which the tube drains fluids from the body part when the valve (202) is in the at least one open state, due to a pressure difference between the first and second open ends of the tube, and characterized in that the valve (202 ) comprises: at least one electromagnet (502a), an implantable jacket (506) having a first end (512a) and a second end (512b), the first end (512a) being manufactured both as the second end (512b) with a material that is reactive to the magnetic force, an implantable sheet (514) inside the jacket having a first magnetic end (508a) and a second magnetic end (508b), determining a position of the sheet (514) if the valve (202) it is in the at least one open state or in the closed state, and a second implantable sensor (510) to verify the position of the sheet (514), the control device (208) switching the valve between the at least one open state and the state closed by the p olarization of at least one electromagnet (502a).
