abstract |
An ostomy device for attachment to the body, the device including at least one component having an adhesive thereon, said adhesive comprising one or more polysiloxanes, or one or more polysiloxanes and at least one silicate resin including mixtures and products thereof of reaction; characterized in that the adhesive adheres said at least one component to another component of the device forming an adhesive bond, in which said at least one component includes a film or foam coated with the adhesive, the adhesive bond having a peel strength of a film of Polyethylene or ethylene copolymer between 0.2 and 3.5 N / cm using the test procedure of ASTM D3330, in which a stainless steel substrate is replaced by a polyethylene or ethylene copolymer film. |
