abstract |
A process for preparing a mixture of cross-metathesis products, which comprises placing a metathesis catalyst under metathesis conditions with a composition comprising two or more ethylenically unsaturated chemically distinguishable polymers, the first of said ethylenically unsaturated polymers internally unsaturated and having a weight molecular greater than 1,000 and having from 0.001 to 50 mole percent unsaturation and having the second of said ethylenically unsaturated polymers from 0.001 mole percent to less than 10 mole percent ethylenic content and comprising flash unsaturation and hard segments and having a molecular weight greater than 1,000 and an expected value of Tg or measured of Tm greater than 100 ° C, to thereby form the cross-metathesis reaction product, where the cross-meta-reaction reaction product comprises a random distribution of polymeric blocks and lengths from Blocks and has hard segments. |
