COLORING LASER IN SOLID STATE. |
abstract |
Solid state dye laser. # The present invention patent describes a system based on organic dyes incorporated in solid matrix capable of emitting tunable laser radiation of small line width in the green-red region of the electromagnetic spectrum, for optoelectronic and biophotonic applications . The system comprises the laser cavity, dispersive or non-dispersive, and the active medium used for the generation and emission of laser light. The active medium comprises at least one dye included in a solid matrix of at least one polymer. In non-dispersive cavity each dye-matrix emits broadband radiation at a specific central wavelength. In dispersive cavity each dye-matrix combination emits narrow band radiation that can be tuned over a range of at least 40 nm. |
