Compounds E1, which can be obtained by reacting (a) 1 mol of a polyol with at least three OH groups, selected from the pentaerythritol and trimethylolpropane group, with 1 to 100 mol of propylene oxide or with 1 to 100 mol of a mixture of ethylene and propylene oxide, which contains at least 65 mol% of propylene oxide - with respect to the sum of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide - to obtain an intermediate product Z1, (b) reacting the intermediate product Z1 with epichlorohydrin , provided that at least two of the OH groups present in Z1 react on average, in which case an intermediate product Z2 is generated, (c) reacting the intermediate product Z2 with an addition product of 10 to 100 mol of ethylene oxide or 10 to 100 mol of a mixture of ethylene oxide and propylene, which contains at least 65 mol% of ethylene oxide - with respect to the sum of ethylene oxide and propylene -, to 1 mol of a monoalcohol with 1 to 22 C atoms, co n the condition that at least one epoxy function of intermediate Z2 reacts on average and at least one epoxy function from intermediate Z2 is retained on average. |
