titleOfInvention Device for cell and tissue culture
abstract An organotypic culture device, wherein said device comprises: a medium conduit having an open end and an end closed by a porous membrane fused therethrough; and a frame that holds the media conduit in a substantially vertical orientation in which the media conduit is adapted to allow capillary retention of a sufficient volume of the liquid culture medium in the media conduit to contact the membrane surface porous and, thus, supplying nutrients to the cells that can be cultured on the porous membrane, in which the device further comprises a cell suspension conduit having an open end and an end closed by the surface of said contralateral porous membrane to the surface of said porous membrane sealed to said medium conduit; wherein said frame holds the media conduit and the cell suspension conduit in a substantially vertical orientation.
