abstract |
An aqueous hair conditioning composition comprising, in addition to water: (i) at least one cationic surfactant, and (ii) emulsified particles of a functional amino silicone of the general formula: Si (CH3) 3-O - [Si ( CH3) 2 - O -] x - [Si (CH3) (R - NH-CH2CH2 NH2) - O -] y - Si (CH3) 3 in which x + y is a number from 50 to 500, and in the that R is an alkylene group having from 2 to 5 carbon atoms; in which the functional amino silicone has a mole percentage of amino functionality of at least 1 mol% and also comprises emulsified silicone particles without amino functionality and in which the average particle size of the silicone with amino functionality is smaller that 20 micrometers and the average silicone particle size without amino functionality is less than 2 micrometers. |
