| abstract | A procedure for the identification of a probable result of breast cancer in a patient with breast cancer comprising the steps of (a) determining the ERBB2 status of a tumor of said patient, and (b) determining in a tissue sample of breast cancer of said patient the level of expression of at least one immunoglobulin in said tumor of said patient at least if said ERBB2 status of said tumor is positive, in which said identification of a probable outcome is based on said level of expression if the ERBB2 status of said tumor is positive, in which the identification of the probable result comprises a classification of the patient into one of at least two groups, said two groups corresponding to a group of "good results" and a group of "bad results", respectively, and in which a cancer is classified as belonging to the group of "bad results" if the level of expression of said at least one immunoglobulin is below of a predetermined threshold level. |
