EXPRESSION OF ACTIVE EUCARIOTY GLICOSILTRANSPHERASES, SOLUBLE IN PROCARIAT ORGANISMS. |
abstract |
Method of producing a soluble active eukaryotic glycosyltransferase in a prokaryotic microorganism, in which the prokaryotic microorganism has an oxidizing environment, the method comprising the steps of a) expressing a nucleic acid encoding the eukaryotic glycosyltransferase in the prokaryotic microorganism; and b) grow the microorganism under conditions that allow the expression of soluble active eukaryotic glycosyltransferase within a cellular compartment of the prokaryotic microorganism, in which the prokaryotic microorganism has absent or reduced reductase activity resulting from a mutation in a reductase nucleic acid endogenous, and grown at a temperature below an optimum growth temperature. |
