Method for producing shortened, functionalized carbon nanotubes, with at least one open end by mechanical treatment of the carbon nanotubes to be treated, where said nanotubes to be treated, in powder form, are subjected to mechanical crushing forces in the presence of a reactive gas capable of reacting chemically with the nanotubes, so that shortened carbon nanotubes comprising at least one specific chemical group are obtained, characterized in that the chemical group obtained in the shortened carbon nanotubes produced is selected from the group consisting of SH, NH2, NHCO, F, Br, Cl, 1, R-NH, RO, RS, COCl and SOCl. |
