abstract Process reaction system for the manufacture of polyphenol under polyphenol manufacturing conditions, comprising a flow of phenolic compound / mother liquor, a flow of carbonyl compound, a condensation reactor comprising an acid catalyst and maintained under manufacturing conditions of polyphenol, a flow of effluent from the condensation reactor to a dehydration column, a dehydration column, a head flow of the vacuum-subjected dehydration column generated by a first rear pump that is directed to a promoter absorption column , a lateral outflow of the dehydration column, a residue flow from the dehydration column, a promoter absorption column, an evacuation flow from the promoter absorption column, a vapor recirculation flow from the column of absorption of promoter towards the head flow of the dehydration column at an earlier point ior to the first pump, a residue flow from the promoter absorption column, a first flow of phenolic compound, a second flow of phenolic compound to the inlet opening of the liquid ring of the first pump and a reactor feed flow of condensation comprising the flow of phenolic compound / mother liquor, the flow of carbonyl compound and the flow of residue from the promoter absorption column towards the condensation reactor comprising an acid catalyst, said process reaction system comprising a reagent of phenolic compound, a reagent of carbonyl compound and bismethylthiopropane catalyst promoter compositions, said bismethylthiopropane catalyst promoter composition being incorporated into said process reaction system at least in one of the following points: (a) head flow of the dehydration column after the dehydration column, in one point or after the point at which the steam recirculation flow intersects with the head flow of the dehydration column and before the first pump that generates vacuum in said head flow of the dehydration column, (aa) the flow head of the dehydration column after the dehydration column, at a point before the point where the steam recirculation flow intersects with the head flow of the dehydration column and before the first pump that generates vacuum in said head flow of the dehydration column, (b) the second flow of phenolic compound towards the inlet port of the liquid ring of the first pump that generates vacuum in said dehydration column, (c) the promoter absorption column , (d) the flow of carbonyl compound, at a point prior to the intersection with the residue flow of the promoter absorption column, (e) the waste flow of the pro absorption column engine, at a point before the intersection with the flow of carbonyl compound, or (f) the flow of phenolic compound / mother liquor.
