abstract |
An air purification system (20) comprising: a substrate (28); a photocatalytic coating (40) of metallic oxide / titanium dioxide which includes a monolayer of tungsten oxide on titanium dioxide, said photocatalytic coating (40) applied on said substrate (28) and an ultraviolet light source (32) to activate said photocatalytic coating (40) of tungsten oxide / titanium dioxide, and said photocatalytic coating of tungsten oxide / titanium dioxide that oxidizes air flow contaminants, which are adsorbed onto said photocatalytic coating of tungsten oxide / dioxide titanium when activated by said light source; characterized in that: said substrate comprises successive honeycombs (28), each honeycomb having a plurality of hexagonal open aisles (30), said photocatalytic coating being arranged on the surfaces of said aisles (30); and to comprise: a plurality of ultraviolet light sources (32), said plurality of honeycombs (28) alternating and said plurality of ultraviolet light sources (32). |
