Use of polysaccharides or polysaccharide derivatives as components for mixtures of building materials, polysaccharides or polysaccharide derivatives can be obtained by a) dissolving or swelling of the polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative in 35 to 99% by weight of water, referred to to the total weight, b) conversion of the water from the polysaccharide or the swollen or dissolved polysaccharide derivative, in the vapor phase, and simultaneous conversion of the polysaccharide or the polysaccharide derivative dissolved or swollen into a solid state by introduction by means of a gaseous stream in a grinding mechanism, thereby expelling water from the polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative through the gaseous stream, c) separation of solid particles from the polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative from the gaseous stream and, eventually, drying of the polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative. |
