Intermediate band solar cell with dotsnQuantities not stressed.n n n The invention relates to an intermediate band solar cell whose intermediate band material (3) consists of a collection of quantum dots (12) of a semiconductor material A immersed in a volume (13) of another semiconductor B. Material A is characterized by having a crystalline structure of the rock salt type, while material B has a soft zinc structure. Quantum dots (12) are produced by the immiscibility of material A in material B. Therefore, it is possible to choose a combination of materials A and B with a very similar network constant, so that the layer (3) of intermediate band material does not exhibit accumulation of mechanical stress. |
