abstract A method for the manufacture of lenses (L) for glasses according to a prescription, comprising the steps of: (i) providing a lens blank (SFB) having a first face (cx), a second face (cc) facing said first face (cx) and an edge (E) between said first face (cx) and said second face (cc), said first face (cx) having a final curvature and being coated with an anti-reflective coating (AR) as the outer layer , (ii) lock the lens blank (SFB) in a locking piece (B), with the help of a locking material (M), wherein said first face (cx) of the lens blank (SF) oriented towards said blocking part (B), (iii) treating the lens blank (SFB) locked on said second face (cc) and, optionally, on said edge (E) to obtain a treated lens, (iv) unlocking the treated lens of said locking piece (B), and (v) applying on said anti-reflective coating (AR) on said first face (cx) of the lens treated a topcoat (CT) selected from a group consisting of hydrophobic, oleophobic and anti-dust coatings.
