APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PURIFYING A PARTICLE FILTER. |
abstract |
A vehicle control apparatus characterized in that it comprises: a controller (50), in which: when predetermined conditions are satisfied, the controller (50) executes a neutral control that necessarily places an automatic transmission (20) in a substantially neutral state, the predetermined conditions including an automatic transmission shift position (20) that is in the running position; characterized in that when it is determined that the quantity (PMA) of exhaust material (PM) accumulated in a catalyst (30) provided in an exhaust system of a vehicle has exceeded a first reference value (PMt1), the controller ( 50) executes a heating control of the catalyst that increases the temperature of the catalyst (30) so as to eliminate the accumulated exhaust material (PM) in the catalyst (30); and when it is determined during the catalyst heating control that the quantity (PMA) of the exhaust material (PM) accumulated in the catalyst (30) has exceeded a second reference value (PMt2) that is greater than the first value reference (PMt1), the controller (50) prohibits the execution of the neutral control. |
