abstract An optionally N-oxidized benzylpiperidine compound represented by the formula (1): wherein R 1 and R 2 are the same or different and each is halogen, n is an integer from 1 to 5, X is an oxygen atom , a sulfur atom or SO, Z is a bond or heteroaryl, wherein said heteroaryl is a 5- or 6-membered aromatic heterocycle containing 1 or 2 types of 1 to 3 hetero atoms selected from nitrogen atom, sulfur atom and oxygen atom, or an aromatic heterocycle in which the 5 or 6 membered aromatic heterocycle containing 1 or 2 types of 1 or 2 hetero atoms selected from nitrogen atom, sulfur atom and oxygen atom is condensed with a ring of benzene, Y 1 is a bond; an alkylene chain having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; -CO-; -Q- (CH2) m- or - (CH2) mQ-, in which Q is -NH-, -NR 3 - in which R 3 is alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, SO or SO2, m is an integer from 0 to 4, A is aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms or 5 or 6-membered aromatic heterocycle containing 1 or 2 types of 1 to 3 hetero atoms selected from nitrogen atom, sulfur atom and oxygen atom, or an aromatic heterocycle in which the 5 or 6-membered aromatic heterocycle containing 1 or 2 types of 1 or 2 hetero atoms selected from nitrogen atom, sulfur atom and oxygen atom is condensed with a benzene ring, W is aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, heteroaryl or thiazoline, wherein said heteroaryl is a 5- or 6-membered aromatic heterocycle containing 1 or 2 types of 1 to 3 hetero atoms selected from nitrogen atom, sulfur atom and oxygen atom, or an aromatic heterocycle in which the hetero 5 or 6-membered aromatic cycle containing 1 or 2 types of 1 or 2 hetero atoms selected from nitrogen atom, sulfur atom and oxygen atom is condensed with a benzene ring, and 2 is amino; alkylamino having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; arylamino having 6 to 12 carbon atoms; (arylalkyl) amino having 7 to 11 carbon atoms; (heteroarylalkyl) amino having 2 to 10 carbon atoms; acylamino having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; acylaminoalkyl having 2 to 12 carbon atoms; alkoxycarbonylamino having 2 to 10 carbon atoms; carboxymethylamino; aminoalkylamino having 2 to 6 carbon atoms; -NR 4 CONR 5 R 6, wherein R 4, R 5 and R 6 may be the same or different and each is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; sulfonylamino; -CONR 7 R 8, in which R 7 and R 8 can be the same or different and each is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms or arylalkyl having 7 to 13 carbon atoms, as long as they do not represent hydrogen at the same time; aminoalkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; alkylaminoalkyl having 2 to 14 carbon atoms; arylaminoalkyl having 7 to 13 carbon atoms; (arylalkyl) aminoalkyl having 8 to 14 carbon atoms; (heteroarylalkyl) aminoalkyl having 3 to 11 carbon atoms; cyclic amino containing 1 to 3 nitrogen atoms and 3 to 7 carbon atoms; hydrazino; guanidino; amidino; hydroxyamidino; alkoxyamidino having 2 to 10 carbon atoms; aminomethylamino, iminomethylamino; imino; or -SR 16 in which R 16 is alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, provided that aryl, heteroaryl, cycloalkyl, alkylene chain, alkylamino, arylamino, (arylalkyl) amino, acylamino, acylaminoalkyl, alkoxycarbonylamino, carboxymethylamino , aminoalkylamino, sulfonylamino, -CONR 7 R 8, aminoalkyl, alkylaminoalkyl, arylaminoalkyl, (arylalkyl) aminoalkyl, cyclic amino, hydrazino, guanidino, amidino, aminomethylamino, iminomethylamino and imino mentioned above have optionally substituents, and said substituents are selected, and said substituents are selected, and said substituents are selected, and from said substituents, haloalkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkoxy having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, hydroxy, mercapto, carboxy, nitro, amino or alkylamino having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; and the nitrogen atom in amide, carbamate or sulfonamide contained in the acylamino, acylaminoalkyl, alkoxycarbonylamino and sulfonylamino mentioned above may be substituted with alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an optical isomer thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
