titleOfInvention SULFURIZED DERIVATIVES OF N-ACETYLHEXOSAMINS AND ITS USE AS INHIBITORS OF THE TUMOR CELL DIVISION.
abstract Sulfur derivatives ofnN-acetylhexosamines and their use as inhibitors ofndivision of tumor cells.n n n The present invention describes a series ofnthioglycosides and their oxidized sulfoxide and sulfone derivatives, whichnconfer greater solubility in aqueous media, and its use asnantitumor drugs, mainly against glioma cell lines andnlung adenocarcinoma. The new thioderivatives are resistant tonenzyme catalyzed hydrolysisnN-acetylhexosaminidases and reduce the content ofngangliosides in tumor cells. The invention also relates tona procedure for obtaining these compounds and their use fornmanufacture of a medicament for the treatment of tumors.
