AN INORGANIC CEMENT FOR BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS, PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION AND USE OF SUCH CEMENT. |
abstract |
An inorganic cement for biomedical applications, procedure for its preparation and use of said cement. # The preparation of a cement based on magnesium and sodium phosphate with clinical applications in bone surgery and dentistry is proposed. This cement has as its main property an intrinsic antimicrobial effect. It also has a high setting speed, accompanied by high compressive strength at short times. Another inherent property of these cements is their adhesive character and their reabsorption in vivo. # The use of cement for bone and dental applications is indicated, as well as the filling of bone defects or the sealing of dental cavities. Cement is especially indicated in cases where an antimicrobial effect and / or adhesive properties were necessary. |
