abstract The present invention is a method of obtaining a mycorrhizal agent, which comprises inoculating by coating a seed of a host plant with at least one mycorrhizal fungus of the genus Glomus, cultivating said plant in irrigation cycles of between 7 and 10 days of duration on a reproduction substrate comprising smectic clays in a percentage greater than 52% with respect to the total weight of said substrate, interrupt said irrigation for a period equal to or greater than 20 days, remove the aerial part of the plant and extract the substrate and grind said substrate at a temperature between 25 and 30 ° C to obtain said mycorrhizal agent. The mycorrhizal agent is useful as an emulsifier for the irrigation of a plant, selected from the group consisting of vegetables, citrus, fruit, olive, cereal and banana.
