titleOfInvention METHOD, INSTALLATION AND TREATMENT UNIT FOR LASTRE WATER TREATMENT.
abstract Installation (26) for ballast water treatment, said installation comprising a treatment component (29, 31) having an internal conduit (49) through which ballast water and electrical conductors (50) can flow connected to a electric current source, characterized in that said treatment component comprises a set of tubes (48a to 48f) of electrically insulating material that allows ballast water to flow through it in parallel, and because each of said tubes is provided with said electrical conductors whereby the ballast water flowing through it can be subjected to an alternating electric current to thereby destroy living organisms in it.
