| abstract | A process for the preparation of a batch of an allergen product, said process comprising the steps of: (a) providing a liquid composition comprising said allergen product, said liquid composition having a freezing temperature; (b) providing a container comprising inside a cryogenic medium having a boiling temperature below the freezing temperature of said liquid composition; (c) dividing the liquid composition into drops and adding said drops to the cryogenic medium in the container, so that said drops freeze and form cryogranules of the liquid composition; and (d) storing the container containing the cryogranules of the liquid composition, in which the container is sealed with a sealing means before storage, and in which the container is then stored at a temperature in the range of -80 ° C at 0 ° C; with the proviso that the cryogranules of the liquid composition are not subjected to a lyophilization stage subsequent to stage (c) or stage (d). |
