abstract | A method of coating a substrate comprising the steps of: Providing a substrate; Prepare an inorganic component, in which the inorganic component is selected from a group comprising hydrolyzed silanes. Prepare an organic component by "endcapping" coating of a difunctional amine to a diglycidyl ether to produce a modified diamine. Combine the inorganic component with the organic component prior to the application of the mixture on the substrate; Apply the combined inorganic and organic components on the substrate; Expose the inorganic and organic components at a predetermined temperature to cause a reaction between inorganic and organic components to produce a network structure of the coating on the substrate. |
