| abstract |
A process for recycling a molded article comprising a thermoplastic colored material having a dye chemically bonded to the thermoplastic material of the molded article on the surface thereof, but in which substantially no amount of the dye is present within the core of the material thermoplastic substantially below the colored surface, the process comprising contacting the colored and optionally crushed thermoplastic material of the molded article with a caustic wash and recovering a thermoplastic composition modified at least partially in color from the caustic wash. |
