abstract | A method for sterilizing and / or disinfecting a PET container (12), said process comprising the steps of: generating a vapor that includes hydrogen peroxide; placing a nozzle (50) through an opening in the container (12); discharge the sterilizing steam generated through the nozzle (50) and into the container (12); and purging the container (12) of the discharged sterilizer, in which the nozzle (50) is placed no less than 15 mm from any internal surface of the container (12) that is perpendicular to a main direction of the sterilizer steam flow of the nozzle, in which the sterilizing vapor used in the discharge stage has a temperature not exceeding 71 ° C (160 ° F) and in which the vessel is purged with a gas at a temperature not greater than 71 ° C (160 ° F), characterized by the step of placing the nozzle (50) above the opening of the container (12) and discharging the sterilizing vapor on the outside of the container (12). |
