Procedure for obtaining transparent ceramic materials of {al} -polycrystalline alumina with ceria and product obtained by means of said procedure. # Includes the steps of: preparing a suspension of powder of {al} -alumin in a solvent by stirring; add a solution of cerium salt as a dopant by stirring; drying the product of the previous step removing the solvent; calcinate the product of the previous step; grind the product from the previous step; dry the product from the previous step; sift the product from the previous step; conform the product of the previous step, and sinter the product of the previous step. It also describes a material of {al} -polycrystalline alumina doped with ceria obtained according to said procedure, with density greater than 98%, transmittance greater than 70% in the infrared range, hardness values greater than 19 GPa, a percentage of ceria between 5 ppms and 5% by weight and grain size less than one micron. |
