titleOfInvention | APPARATUS TO SUPERVISE THE SOILING OF WATER SYSTEMS. |
abstract | An apparatus for monitoring and recording the fouling of aqueous systems, which allows the categorization of the type of dirt detected, including: (a) a tube assembly (400) integrated or coupled with a monitoring and recording assembly (500); (b) a heat transfer test assembly (300) including: (i) an outer tube element (212); (ii) a heating rod (220) coaxially placed inside the outer tube element (212), said heating rod (220) including means for detecting a wall temperature of said heating rod (220); (iii) a tube sleeve assembly (314) coaxially mounted on the heating rod (220) within the outer tube element (212), wherein said tube sleeve assembly (314) includes a ribbed sleeve section (330 ), an upward flow transition section (340) positioned upwardly butt joined against an upwardly located end of the ribbed sleeve section (330), and a downward flow transition section (350) placed down and butt connected against one end located downward of the ribbed sleeve section (330); and (iv) an annular fluid flow passage (228) disposed between the tube sleeve assembly (314) and the outer tube element (212); where the heat transfer test assembly (300) is disposed within the tube assembly (400); and (c) an additional heat transfer test assembly disposed within the tube assembly (400), wherein the additional heat transfer test assembly includes: (i) an additional outer tube element; (ii) an additional heating rod coaxially positioned within the outer tube element, said additional heating rod including means for detecting the wall temperature of said additional heating rod, wherein said additional heating rod includes a smooth outer surface; and (iii) an annular fluid flow passage disposed between the additional heating rod and the additional outer tube element; where the heat transfer test set (300) is arranged in parallel with the additional heat transfer test set (400). |
