abstract Deodorant cosmetic composition containing at least: a) a lipophilic salicylic acid derivative of the following general formula (I), or a salt thereof obtained by salification with a mineral base selected from alkali metal hydroxides, alkaline earth metal hydroxides and ammonia aqueous or an organic base selected from amines and alkanolamines: ** (See formula) ** where: - the radical R indicates a linear, branched or cyclic saturated aliphatic chain of 2 to 22 carbon atoms; an unsaturated chain of 2 to 22 carbon atoms containing one or more double bonds, which may be conjugated; or an aromatic nucleus attached to the carbonyl radical directly or through saturated or unsaturated aliphatic chains of 2 to 7 carbon atoms; said groups may be substituted with one or more substituents, which may be identical or different, selected from (a) halogen atoms, (b) a trifluoromethyl group, (c) hydroxyl groups in free form or esterified with an acid of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or (d) a carboxyl function in free or esterified form with a lower alcohol of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and - R 'is a hydroxyl group or an ester group of the formula: ** (See formula) ** where R1 indicates a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic chain of 1 to 18 carbon atoms; and b) at least one aluminum antiperspirant salt, the weight ratio of the compound of formula (I) being with respect to the aluminum salt less than 1/50.
