abstract A method for manufacturing a band (400) using a single stage vacuum and fluid formation system, the method comprising the steps of: i. provide a band of flexible material (12); ii. depositing the band of flexible material (12) on a sieve (14, 601), the sieve (14, 601) comprising aberrations (604) and perforations, the perforations forming on the band (400) a regulated pattern of elements similar to the fiber; iii. subjecting the flexible band (400) to vacuum in such a way that the macro-protuberances form in the band (400), the macro-protrusions forming the regulated pattern of elements similar to the fiber, the macro-protuberances forming substantially the shape of the perforations in the sieve (14, 601), whereby the flexible band (400) is subjected to vacuum for a sufficient time to cause the flexible band to begin to solidify, in which apertures are created in the macro- vacuum protuberances, characterized by iv. bringing the band (400) into contact with the pressurized air (220) or pressurized water (22) with sufficient energy to cause the solid band (400) to permanently deform without creating openings to the band (400) in the locations placed above of the aberrations (604) in the sieve (14, 601) to form micro-protuberances without openings (420); and V. remove the band (400) from the sieve (14, 601).
