titleOfInvention A METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF CRYSTAL DEXLOXIGLUMIDE.
abstract A method for the preparation of crystalline dexloxiglumide by crystallization of the crude product from a solvent, characterized in that isopropyl ether is used as the solvent and because the crystallization step is performed by adding a microcrystalline dexloxiglumide seed having an average particle size (D50) <= q 20 μm (measurement method performed by laser light diffraction with the Malvern Master Sizer 2000 instrument) to a supersaturated solution of raw dexloxiglumide, in which the seed is added to said supersaturated solution of raw dexloxiglumide which is maintained at a temperature between 35 and 40 ° C, in a ratio of one part of seed material to 40-200 parts of raw product, and in which the dexloxiglumide thus prepared is in the form of crystalline particles having a percentage in volume of less than 15% fine particles having dimensions of less than 10 μm and a value of the average size of particles (D50) between 50 and 130 μm (measurement method performed by laser light diffraction with the Malvern Master Sizer 2000 instrument).
