The invention is based on the use of recharcamycin biosynthetic genes from Saccharothrix aerocolonigenes for the production of indolocarbazoles in related microorganisms (Streptomyces spp.). The method comprises the isolation of a DNA fragment of Saccharothrix aerocolonigenes ATCC39243 containing the grouping of biosynthetic genes of rebecamycin and the expression of said genes in Streptomyces albus, achieving the production of rebecamycin and derivatives. Of application in the pharmaceutical field. |
