titleOfInvention RESEARCH PROCEDURE FOR MAGNETIC RESONANCE OF A SAMPLE USING A POLARIZED MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGE FORMATION AGENT OF ESPIN NUCLEAR.
abstract A method of magnetic resonance investigation of a sample, preferably the body of a human being or a non-human animal, said method comprising i) obtaining an MR imaging agent that includes molecules of a compound containing a core of non-zero nuclear spin detection and storage of different values of gyro-magnetic ratio, in which said storage and detection cores are separated by 2 to 5 chemical bonds; ii) polarizing by means of nuclear spin polarization said storage cores in said MRI imaging agent; iii) administering the polarized MR imaging agent to said sample; iv) subjecting said sample to a sequence of pulses that causes polarization to be transferred from said storage cores to said non-zero detection spin cores, the gyro-magnetic ratio of said detection cores being greater than that of said storage cores ; v) exposing said sample to radiation at a frequency selected to drive nuclear spin transitions in said detection cores; vi) detect magnetic resonance signals from said sample; and vii) optionally generating an image, dynamic flow data, diffusion data, perfusion data, physiological data or metabolic data from said detected signals.
