abstract |
A method for the isolation of prostate cancer stem cells, which comprises selective enrichment of prostate cancer stem cells expressing the CD133 antigen, comprising: i) providing a cell preparation comprising prostate cancer stem cells derived from prostate tissue; ii) provide cell culture conditions that allow the maintenance of said prostate cancer stem cells in culture and the attachment of said prostate cancer stem cells to a collagen-based matrix; iii) select said bound cells where said cells express the CD133 antigen. |
