abstract Aromatic polyamides with free amine groups, new polymers obtained from them, as well as applications of these materials. The invention relates to polymers with structure (I), R1 being a commercial or synthetic aromatic, aliphatic, or aliphatic-aromatic residue. Preferably R1 is an ortho or para substituted phenylene group.n n n Furthermore, the invention also relates toncopolymers that come from acidn5- (N-BOC-amino) -1,3-benzenedicarboxylicnand the reaction with commercial or synthetic diacids and diamines,nand that therefore contain in their structure the subunit of formulan(Ia).n n n The invention also relates tonpolyamides and copolyamides that can be obtained by reaction ofnpolymers and copolymers with free amine groups with differentnchemical reagents, and therefore possessing in their structurengroup of formula (IIa), where R 2 and R 3 are any groupnthat can be obtained by reaction of all or part of the groupsnfree amino acids of the polymer or copolymer, either by reaction in thensolid or in solution, with various commercial reagents ornnew synthesis.n n n The invention also relates to the models of the polymers obtained by reacting diacids with amino groups protected with monoamines, as well as to the n n n products of the lack of protection of these models andnto the compounds that could be obtained by reaction on thenfree amino groups.
