titleOfInvention | SELF-REPAIR STRUCTURE. |
abstract | A structure comprising a plurality of hollow fibers that are assembled to form a composite body, the fibers being arranged in pairs, one fiber of each pair containing an uncured resinous material as a component of a curable resinous composition of two components and comprising the other a curing agent of the two component resin composition, said fiber being of each pair connectable to a first deposit of said uncured resinous material, said resinous material being able to be supplied from said first deposit to said fiber of each torque under pressure, and said other fiber of each pair being connectable to a second reservoir of said curing agent, said curing agent being able to be supplied from said second reservoir to said other fiber of each pair under pressure, whereby, in case of that a fracture occurs in any of the fibers, the combination of the two components in the region occurs n fracture to permit curing of the composition and sealing of the fracture. |
