THIS INVENTION IS RELATED TO METHODS AND COMPOUNDS TO PRODUCE AN IMMUNE RESPONSE AND FOR THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF PRIMARY AND METASTASIC NEOPLASIC DISEASES AND INFECTIONS. THE METHODS OF THE INVENTION CONSIST IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF A COMPOUND WITH AN EFFECTIVE AMOUNT OF A COMPLEX THAT ESSENTIALLY CONSISTS OF A PROTEIN (HSP) WITH NON-COVALENT LINK TO AN ANTIGEN MOLECULA. THE "ANTIGEN MOLECULA" REFERS TO THE PEPTIDES WITH WHICH THE HSPs ARE ASSOCIATED ENDOGENAMELY IN LIVE AS WELL AS ANTIGENS / IMMUNOGENOS EXOGENOS (THAT IS, WITH WHICH THE HSPs DO NOT FORM IN VIVO COMPLEX OR ANTIGENIC OR ANTIGENIC FRAGMENTS. A PREFERRED PRESENTATION, THE COMPLEX IS AUTHORIC FOR THE INDIVIDUAL THE EFFECTIVE AMOUNTS OF THE COMPLEX ARE IN THE MARGIN OF 100-600 MICROGRAMS FOR COMPLEXES CONTAINING HSP70, 50-1,000 MICROGRAMS FOR THE HSP90 AND 10-600 MICROGRAM GP96 THE INVENTION ALSO PROVIDES A METHOD FOR MEASURING IN VIVO THE REJECTION OF THE TUMOR IN AN INDIVIDUAL, PREFERIBLY HUMAN, INCLUDING THE MEASUREMENT OF THE PRODUCTION, BY THE INDIVIDUAL, OF CYTO-TOXIC T-PHYTROPHYL TROPHYTS OF THE CLCI SPECIFIC CLASS TYPE RESID. THE PURIFICATION METHODS OF HSP70 PEPTIDIC COMPLEXES ARE ALSO DESCRIBED. |
