abstract |
A process for manufacturing an extruded foam product comprising: (a) heating at a first temperature of 135-240 ° C a resin mixture comprising a polymer and optional additives, thereby producing a plasticized resin mixture, (b ) thoroughly mixing with the resin mixture a blowing agent consisting of 134a and an alcohol under a first pressure of 4,826-31.02 MPa and in conditions to prevent foaming, thereby producing a foamable gel, (c) cooling the foamable gel at a second temperature of 140-105 ° C and extrude the foamable gel at a second pressure of 0-193 kPa, thereby producing foaming of the gel and the formation of an extruded foam product. |
