titleOfInvention | ANTI-DECTIN-1 HUMAN ANTIBODY, PRODUCER HYBRIDOMA OF SUCH ANTIBODY AND ITS APPLICATIONS. |
abstract | Antibodynanti-human Dectin-1, hybridomanproducer of said antibody and its applications.n n n The present invention consists of the MGD3 hybridoma and the monoclonal antibody produced by it (also called MGD3), which specifically recognizes the human Decti-1 membrane receptor. The MGD3 antibody is capable of inhibiting the binding of Dectin-1 to its natural ligand, the β-glucans that are components of the fungal wall. In addition, it specifically blocks the binding to Candida albicans as well as the secretion of cytokines induced by it. The MGD3 antibody obtained allows in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo detection of the human protein Dectin-1. In the same way, it can be used to detect the level of expression of the receptor in human leukocytes and to define the role of this receptor in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases and conditions characterized by chronic inflammation as well as to know the therapeutic effect of different anti- agents. inflammatory and immunosuppressants. In addition, the MGD3 antibody could have therapeutic potential in chronic inflammatory diseases. |
