abstract | A method for the in vitro diagnosis of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) in a subject or for the early diagnosis of NASH in a subject or to determine the predisposition of a subject to develop NASH or to determine the phase or severity of NASH in a subject or to follow the effect of the therapy administered to said subject with said condition, which comprises: a) quantifying the level of expression of the set of 85 genes, shown in table 2 and table 3, in a liver tissue sample of said subject, and b) compare the expression levels of said genes with the expression level of the same genes of a control sample; where an increase in the expression levels of the genes in table 2 and a decrease in the expression level of the genes in table 3, relative to the expression level of the same genes in the control sample, is indicative of EHNA or indicative of predisposition of the subject to develop NASH. |
