abstract | Method for detecting a variation in a nucleic acid molecule, said method comprising the steps of: (a) providing for nucleic acids; (b) transforming the nucleic acids into a conformer or several spatial conformers of single stranded nucleic acids; (c) separate the conformer (s) under native conditions; (d) change a separation condition at least once during separation, where the change may impart a change of conformation in the conformer (s); (e) detect the mobility pattern of the conformer (s); and (f) compare the mobility pattern of the conformer (s) with a mobility pattern of a control nucleic acid conformer to thereby detect a variation in the nucleic acid molecule, where the condition is temperature , and where the temperature is lowered during separation. |
